Bill Patten

Bill Patten has over 45 years experience owning, selling, and managing businesses including a micrographics business, a records storage and shredding business, two large printing companies, a tool manufacturing company, and an automation company. These businesses range from 5 employees to 200 employees. One of his businesses earned recognition from Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing privately held businesses in the country.

Realizing his limitation in business knowledge, and how that limited his ability to effectively manage his business Bill went back to school, and in 1994 he earned his MBA from the University of Washington Executive MBA School.

With this experience and education Bill understands the challenges and gratification of owning your own business, the emotional conflicts when selling your business and the importance of knowing how to best market, package and sell or purchase your business.

In 2013 he helped his brother purchase a lighting store in Reno, NV. It was through this process that he realized he enjoyed and was good at the process of selling and buying businesses. He purchased Sunbelt Business Brokers in October 2013. Bill has brokered dozens of business sales ranging in Gross Sales from $1,000,000 – $85,000,000 and from 4 employees to 350.
